Kuno, an erstwhile wildlife sanctuary has now been declared a National Park.It is located in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh. It is spread over an area of about 900 square kilometers. In 1981, an area of 344.68 sq km was earmarked for this wildlife sanctuary. Later this area was increased. Animals like Indian wolf, monkey, Indian leopard and nilgai are found in this wildlife sanctuary. Kuno has also been selected as an appropriate habitat for relocating Cheetahs from Africa.
